The first four photographs show the Kirk on Foula as it was when Chris was the lay-missionary there (1954-55) and as he found it on a return visit in 1993. The last two photographs show the old Kirk, as it stood on his earlier visit, its roof restored for the filming of Michael Powell’s 1936 film The Edge of the World, and as a ruin in 1993.
